A little more about the cfopen VM's
cfopenThe two current virtual machines created by the cfopen guys, are intended to be an easy way for people to start running code with the Smith Project CFML engine.
There are two different OS's, with a different GUI for each. But the consistent thing between both VM's is that once you log in, you see a folder called 'Web Root'.
We have it set to start Apache/Tomcat/MySQL as services on start up, and the Firefox homepage is set to http://localhost
So, in essence all you need to do is log in, open the 'Web Root' folder and start testing/writing/etc your ColdFusion code.

I just haven't had time to mess with it yet. :)
I did mention this to Tim and Adam when they were in town doing the Scorpio tour and they didn't think there would be a problem distributing something like this using ColdFusion setup in developer mode.
I'll have to checkout the Smith Project - it would be nice to see a good, compatible open-source CFML engine.

That said, feel free to d/l one of the VM's and drop a coldfusion.war in there and you might be good to go right off the bat!
If you decide you'd like to contribute to cfopen in some way more VM's, improved docs, tested applications, etc would be very very welcome.
