Linux users: Any problems running cfeclipse 1.3
cfeclipseRecently I upgraded to the java 1.6 jdk, but also started running the newest cfeclipse release (1.3). I am beginning to notice some problems with java hogging a ton of processor.
I noticed it the other day after I had installed some Ruby plugins (I know...) so I just removed those and restarted eclipse and everything seemed to be cool.
The next day, on a fresh eclipse/cfeclipse set up I noticed that anytime I would start a cfscript block, processor would spike and just hang until I closed eclipse...not good.
Now, today. I am trying to do an initial import to subversion, and everytime it is pegging the processor.
specs: 1.86 Pentium M, 2 gigs of RAM, running Kubuntu 6.10, 2.6.17.11-generic kernel, java 1.6, eclipse 3.2, cfeclipse 1.3
Is anybody else seeing this? Anybody know of a cool/easy/awesome way to fix this or should I just try reverting to an older cfeclipse?
EDIT: Switching to the Java perspective seems to alleviate the issue. I think I am going to try reverting back to an earlier version of cfeclipse to see if it is related to CFE 1.3, or some other weirdness.
EDIT 2: I switched back to cfeclipse 1.2 and was able to sucessfully add my project to SVN. Unfortunately I still don't really know the "why", but at least this fixed my immediate problem.
EDIT 3: In discussions with Dave Shuck and Conrad Davis, it sounds like they were also seeing this CPU behavior. Dave is running nearly the same setup as I am (except the 2.6.20 kernel). Conrad is running Ubuntu 6.10 with java 1.5.11.
