What is ColdFusion
ColdFusion
I just saw a post from FusionAuthority.com syndicated on Fullasagoog today that I just had to comment on...http://www.fusionauthority.com/FAQ/4597-What-is-ColdFusion
The topic of their post is not a bad thing. In fact, the more talk about ColdFusion the better in my opinion. But, it was the way they explained it that bothered me.
(note: I realize that it is a very high-level view on the language, but seeing that it was from a ColdFusion site I wanted to see some talk about how this language is capable of enterprise application development....not just "Creating an application with ColdFusion is as straightforward as creating a static Web site.")
One of the more referenced traits of ColdFusion, is its ease of use. The tag based PORTION of ColdFusion is very easy to read, and pretty much anybody could write a couple <cfquery>'s and a <cfoutput> or two and have themselves a dynamic page.
I understand that its ease-of-use is a great selling point, and I don't want to make any arguments to the contrary, but just comparing it to HTML does not do the language justice.
